William John Howland 90, of Gibsonia, PA., passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, August 10, 2023. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA., Son of the late William and Elizabeth (Harr) Howland.

Left to cherish his memory are his three children, Dolores (David) Justice, William Howland Jr., and Theresa Pefferman; four grandchildren, James Howland, William Howland III, Joseph Howland, and Patrick Pefferman; three great grandkids, Andrew, Samantha,and Nicholas, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marie (Campbell) Howland, as well as his three sisters, Dolores Balzer, Mary Goddard, and Jacqueline Prettyman.

William served in the United States Armed Forces and proudly worked at the H.J Heinz Company for 40 years.He was a proud member of the UFCW local 325 and held various union positions over years. He enjoyed church functions, spending time with his family and friends, swimming in his pool, bowling, and grilling. He also enjoyed the many family camping trips across the United States. He wanted his children to learn the history and experience the beauty of this country, that he was so proud of.

Family and friends will be received at Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA, on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held the following day, on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 11am in the funeral home chapel.
