William Boyd Ellis Madden, of Sandy Lake, PA, age 75, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024. He was born on July 10, 1948, in Pittsburgh, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph F. Sr. and Eleanor (Ellis) Madden and his brother, Joseph F. Madden Jr. He is survived by his loving daughter, Cheryl (Mike) Reed, granddaughter, Amanda and great-granddaughter, Scarlett.

He graduated from Grove City High School, Gove City, Pennsylvania, in 1966.

In 1968, he enlisted into the United States Air Force.

Master Sergeant William Boyd Ellis Madden, proudly served in the United States Air Force Civil Engineering division, serving in the Vietnam War and dedicating 20 years to the betterment of military infrastructure and the support of our nation's defense. After retiring in 1988, he was still ready to be called upon if his country was in need.

Some of his hobbies included: drag racing, restoring cars and trucks from the GM family of the 1950's, woodworking and electronics.

Funeral arrangements were held privately with immediate family at Kyper Funeral Home and Mount Royal Cemetery.
