"William George Branning, age 74, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026. He was born on January 29, 1952, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Winston and Sarah (Harris) Branning.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bonnie (Cohen) Branning.

Left to cherish his memory are his two beloved children, Megan Branning and Hayley Wojtaszek and their spouses, Mike Johnson and Rich Wojtaszek; his cherished grandson, Drew Wojtaszek; the mother of his children, Nancy Heath; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Bill was deeply loved by his family and all who knew him. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He spent the majority of his career working as a pharmacist, earning his Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master’s degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Beyond his professional life, Bill had a passion for collecting unique model trains and rare coins. He even owned and operated a small business, Fort Pitt Rare Coins, where he shared his knowledge and appreciation for rare collectibles.

In addition to his dedication to the pharmaceutical field, Bill was a man of strong faith. He frequently served as a guest preacher at various Presbyterian churches. In his free time, he enjoyed being with his family and was an avid history enthusiast, with a particular interest in Roman history and World War II. He will be deeply missed, and his memory will be cherished by all who loved him.

Friends and family are welcome to gather at Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, Inc., 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA, on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12p.m. , with Pastor Lance Chapman officiating. Interment will be held privately at Mount Royal Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Bill’s memory to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA)."
