William "Bill" Charles Schwartz, age 85 of Pittsburgh, Pa., passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on January 12, 1931, son of the late John Schwartz and Caroline (Japopovich) Schwartz.

Throughout his life, Bill was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Millvale, PA. and served in the United States Marine Corps. during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by Allegheny Pipe and Supply for 12 years, then becoming an independent steel hauler until retirement. Bill was an avid golfer and Steelers fan, enjoying both, classical and big band music. He honored his heritage through the Croatian Catholic Union and playing Croatian music with a local band.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and three siblings, John Schwartz, Anne Kuznar, and Dolores Holderny.

Left to cherish his memory, are his siblings, Veronica Golobic, Caroline Karlik, Frances Rodgers and husband John, Joseph Schwartz and wife Shirley, Diana Steinman and husband William, and Evelyn Dell and husband Carl. In addition to his siblings, Bill is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, Inc. 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd. Glenshaw, Pa., on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 11AM until 12:30PM when a Blessing service will be held in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be privately held.
