Thomas Rojik (Huck), age 80, of Shaler passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021.  Tom is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn (Lyons); his daughter Susan (Jeff) Purks of Dayton, Ohio; his son, Jeffrey (Shelbey) Rojik of Ross Township.  Tom is also survived by, his pride and joy, his 5 grandchildren:  Sidney Purks (19), Garrett Rojik (18), Jason Purks (16), Anna Purks (16) and Andrew Rojik (13).  Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Wendel Rojik.  He was one of five boys and is survived by his 4 siblings: Paul (the late Katherine) of Glenshaw; Wendell (Brenda) of Smyrna Tennessee; Robert (Eileen) of Sagamore Beach, Massachusetts; Charles (Irene Sieminski) of Shaler.  He was the beloved and favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Tom was born and raised on the North Side of Pittsburgh by his late parents. He attended North Catholic High School after which he attended a technical school where he prepared for his over 35 years of employment as an electrical designer.  Tom was a Veteran of the United States Army and served 2 years of active duty with the First Armored Division as an Infantryman from 1963 to 1965.  He was an athlete who enjoyed many sports including baseball, football, softball and basketball.  After his sports playing days came to an end, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren and their love of sports.  He also enjoyed fishing with his son and grandchildren. Nothing made Tom happier than spending time with family.

Friends and family will be received in the Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA, on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.

The Funeral Mass in Church will be held at Saint Matthew Parish, St. Bonaventure Church, located at 2001 Mt. Royal Blvd. Glenshaw, PA 15116 on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 10am with Fr. James Gretz officiating.

Interment will be held privately at Mt. Royal Cemetery, Glenshaw, PA.
