Susan P. (West) Begenwald, 73, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019. She was born on December 21,1945 in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late William J. West and Barbara (Smith) West.

In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Cheman.

Susan will be remembered for her love of animals, especially her Chihuahuas Heather, Gabby, Abby, and Augie and her fun, caring and determined nature. She never met a stranger, and would give someone the shirt off her back. Susan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 26 years, Richard F. Begenwald; her daughters, Robin Lake and her husband, Jeff and Stacey Walsh and her husband, Paul; her grandchildren, Taylor Walsh, Tanner Walsh and Jesse Lake; her sister, Cindy West Dangelo; her brother, William West II; nieces, Ann Alise Botzenmayer and Kathryn Touchstone; her nephew, William West III; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements are private under direction of the Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, Inc. 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd. Glenshaw, PA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League, Pittsburgh, PA.
