Richard (Rick) C. Miller, 69, of Valencia, passed away peacefully January 22 ^nd , surrounded by those he loved and who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mary Miller of Shaler.

Rick is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Nancy (Anderson), his children, John (Sam), Jim (Stephanie) and Melanie (Brian Sweeney), his 8 grandchildren, Lena, Danny, Jack, Andrew, Eva, Ben, Shane and Leah, and 3 brothers, Bill (Julie), Greg, and Douglas.

A devoted Christian, Rick expressed his faith by word and deed.  He loved God with all of his heart and would share that love with those he'd come in contact with in his daily life.  He was also a veteran of the US Navy, a skilled woodworker, a master craftsman and all around talented handyman.  He was most at home at his camp, fishing, boating and enjoying nature with his family.  In addition, he had a legendary sense of humor.  People just loved being with him.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the STXBPI Foundation in honor of  Rick and his granddaughter, Eva.  The link to their donation page is https://give.stxbp 1disorders.org/Rick-Miller .  Eva is Rick's 5 ^th grandchild and has always held a special place in his heart.  They developed a special bond, both of them having "all odds stacked against them".  Rick drew strength from Eva's resolve and fight.  He admired her strength and overall joyous attitude towards life despite her many challenges.

Friends and family will be received in the Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA, on Friday, January 28, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Cross Way Community Church in Valencia Pa on Saturday, January 29, 2021 at 10 a.m. If you wish to attend the memorial service, please proceed directly to the church.
