CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF PATRICIA BRITTON MOYER

March 30, 1945 – January 15, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Britton Moyer, a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt and friend, who left this world surrounded by her loving family. Pat was born in Piedmont, West Virginia, where she graduated from Piedmont High School as the Salutatorian of her class. She continued her education at Potomac State College, where she made history as the first Black cheerleader, inspiring many with her courage and determination. Living most of her adult life in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Pat dedicated her life to her faith and family.

As a mother of eight children and a grandmother to thirteen, she was the cornerstone of her family, providing unwavering and unconditional love, guidance, and support. Her family was her greatest joy. She raised her children in Christ, and instilled in them the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion. Pat's strong Christian faith was evident in every aspect of her life. She found joy in serving others and spreading kindness. Her faith was a source of strength and inspiration to all who knew her. In addition, her warmth, compassion, and generosity touched countless lives, leaving a lasting impact on her community.

Pat will be deeply missed and forever cherished in our hearts. On January 21, 2025, there will be a private service celebrating Pat's life. In lieu of flowers, individuals are invited to make a donation in Pat's name to Story Collective Church (SCC), to support SCC's Benevolence and Outreach programs. https://storycc.churchcenter.com/giving/to/in-memory-ofbeloved-pat-britton
