Obituary

Norma Diane (Lavery) Voellger

7/7/1927- 1/15/2025

Norma passed away on January 15, 2025 at the Willows skilled nursing facility where she had been a brief resident. She was the last to survive of her seven brothers and sisters.  Many nieces and nephews dot the map. Friends and caregivers, Donna Mastandrea, Kim Tamburri, P.J. O'Neil, and Lori Persichetti were Norma's main support in her final year and without their kind and loving care, Norma's final days would not have been as bright, so thank you, thank you.

Norma's long affiliation, beginning in 1958, with the Supreme Council Order of the Amaranth spanned more than 60 years and was where she was once served as Grand Royal Matron (1982-1983). She so loved being a part of this wonderful organization's missions and its many activities.  She loved working as well and did so into her 80s. Making friends wherever she went was inspiring. Within 15 minutes of meeting a new person, she could get someone's life story and find a connection!

She was kind, spirited, and funny. Some of things she loved were flowers, cookies, and a nice dress. I hope she finds those things in abundance and can dance to the tunes of Outlander. I hope by now she has found her mother, Eugenie, whom she so loved and so longed to see again.

Her ashes will be buried in the spring at Mt. Royal Cemetery.
