Nelda D. Vidt, 91, of O'Hara Township, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, in Family Hospice, Canterbury Place. Born Sept. 17, 1923, in Etna, she was a daughter of the late Edward Vidt and Henrietta Yolitz. She worked as an accountant for 37 years for Union Steel Castings, Blawnox, and attended Grace United Methodist Church, Sharpsburg. She is survived by her special friend, Anita Gatehouse, of Lighhouse Point in O'Hara Township; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Earl Vidt; five sisters, Grace Cook, Alice Kammer, Esther Martin, Thelma Vidt and Jean Wateska. Visitation will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2014 in KYPER FUNERAL HOME, 2702, Mt. Royal Blvd. at Mt. Royal Cemetery. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Swineford, pastor of Bakerstown United Methodist Church officiating. Private entombment will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless.
