Obituary

Mary Caroline Yeardley, beloved wife and mother, died peacefully in Pittsburgh on June 11. Caroline was born in Parkersburg in 1950, the daughter of Lawrence and Mary-Jo Yeardley, and younger sister of Jim and Jay. She graduated high school from PHS and went on to earn a degree in social work from WVU. After graduating college, she moved to Miami, FL and began a long and respected career as a social worker, first for Miami-Dade County, then after obtaining her master's degree from Florida State University and her clinical licensing, for several Dade-County nonprofits, most extensively Mujer, Inc. in Homestead, FL where she served as clinical director. Caroline is survived and deeply mourned by her loving husband of 45 years, Robert Saba, and loving son, George Saba. She is also survived by loving daughter-in-law, Liz LaForgia, and grandsons, Oliver and Theodore. They will carry the memory and example of her unconditional love, sweetness, and intelligence in their minds and hearts into every day of their lives.
