Mary Daugherty (Vollmer) Schweitzer formerly of Conneaut Lake and Shaler, passed away on September 12, 2023 at Presbyterian Senior Care Woodside Gardens in Oakmont, Pennsylvania. She was born in Pittsburgh on May 28, 1931, the daughter of the late Lawrence M. and Euphemia Daugherty Vollmer. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Roy Russell Schweitzer, her son James Russell Schweitzer, and her brother Lawrence D. Vollmer.

Mary was a registered nurse at Passavant Hospital before retiring with her husband to Conneaut Lake where she enjoyed being active in the community, St. Philip Church and volunteering. She loved her time spent with her family, friends, and her dog Katie, as well as doing artwork and gardening.

Mary is survived by her daughter Janet (Justin) Wolf of Pittsburgh, and son Richard (Carol) Schweitzer of Cranberry along with her grandchildren James, Emily and R. J.

A Funeral Mass will be held this Saturday, Sep 16, 2023 held at St Matthew Parish in St. Bonaventure Church, located at  2001 Mt Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, PA 15116 at 10AM. If you wish to attend Mass, please meet directly at the church.
