Mary Ann Gaus, 67, of Pittsburgh, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, July 17, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Mary Ann was born on March 10, 1959, daughter of the late Joseph J. Madeja and Donna Grange.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Paul Gaus; her loving daughter, Deanna (Russell IV) Evans; and her cherished grandchildren, Noah McQuade, Nicholas McQuade, and Alexandria Maldonado.
Mary Ann is also survived by her siblings, Cheryl (Rowland) Rattigan, Tracey Madeja, and Michael (Lindsay) Madeja, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Steffany Madeja.
Mary Ann built a hard-earned career as an electrician, a profession she took great pride in. She was also a dedicated member of IBEW Local Union No. 5 for more than 40 years. She was known for her strong work ethic, feisty spirit, and unwavering love for her family.
She found great joy in spending time in the sunshine, relaxing by the pool, and tending to her flowers. Whether planting in her garden or simply enjoying the warmth of a sunny day, Mary Ann cherished life's simple pleasures and the precious time she shared with those she loved. Above all, Mary Ann was a devoted wife, who loved her husband wholeheartedly, a dedicated and loving mother to her beloved daughter, and a proud and adoring grandmother to her sweet grandchildren. She will be remembered for her kindness, unwavering strength, and spirited personality.
Family and friends will be received at Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, 2702 Mount Royal Boulevard, Glenshaw, PA 15116, on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held the following day, Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be held privately with the immediate family at Mount Royal Cemetery.
