Mary Jane (Ulrich) Bowers, Age 94, of Franklin Park, PA passed peacefully on December 30, 2023. Jane is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Fink; sons, Dale Bowers (Lisa Dzermajko) and Mark Bowers (Ryan McCarthy); and her beloved grandchildren, Paul Fink, Kevin Fink, Tim Bowers and Maggie Bowers. Jane was preceded in death by her devoted husband James R. Bowers, sister Armella (Ulrich) Funk, brother-in-law Robert E. Funk, and son-in-law Albert Fink. Jane ran the family home and supported her husband in the establishment and growth of Stringert & Bowers, Inc. in McKees Rocks, PA, building much of Pittsburgh's stunning skyline. An avid Steelers fan, a sharp bridge player and card 'shark', Jane loved to travel and enjoyed spending time at the family cabin in the mountains near Emporium, PA, and in Vero Beach and Bonita Springs, Florida. Friends and family will be received at 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 6th, followed immediately by funeral services at 2 p.m., both at KYPER FUNERAL HOME, 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
