Mary T. Sullivan Arenth, 93, of Glenshaw, died Sunday morning, Oct. 12, 2014, in UPMC Passavant, Cranberry. Born July 15, 1921, in Wellsville, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Albert J. and Teresa (Keenan) Sullivan. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Glenshaw, and the church's Christian Mothers. She was a 1942 graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing and a 1948 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Prior to retirement in 1994, she was employed as a registered nurse by St. Francis Hospital, Lawrenceville, in the intensive care unit. During World War II, she served as a first lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps in the European Theater with the 230th General Hospital. She was the wife of the late James J. Arenth, whom she married on Feb. 26, 1948, in St. Paul Cathedral, and who died Oct. 2, 1961. Survivors include two daughters, Margaret L. (Robert) Watson, of Cranberry Township, and Elizabeth M. Arenth, of Penn Hills; two sons, Michael J. (Conreda) Arenth, of McCandless, and John M. (Patricia) Arenth, of Hampton Township; and two grandsons, Keenan J. and Ryan T. Arenth. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, at the KYPER FUNERAL HOME, 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd. at Mt. Royal Cemetery, Glenshaw. Parish wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Funeral prayer will be held at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 2510 Middle Road, Glenshaw, with Father John Marcucci as celebrant.
