IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret Laverne
Klein
October 16, 1936 – April 7, 2020
Margaret Laverne (Richards) Klein, 83, of Ross Township, PA, passed away peacefully after a courageous fight on Tuesday, April 7, 2020. She was born October 16, 1936 in Hyndman, PA, daughter of the late Clarence and Gladys (Kreigline) Richards.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Charles Jr. (Michelle) Klein, Tina (Carl) Maerkle, Sherrie (Scott) Wasielewski; eight grandchildren, Ashley, Ethan, Krystal, Andrew, Vicky, Justin, Samantha, Scotty, one great-grandchild, Nova, her sister Doris Bower and brother Wayne Richards.
She was a loving mother and Granny who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed being as active as possible and loved to take walks, go swimming, bike riding, and sled riding with her grandchildren. Cooking for her family and sharing stories of her childhood also brought great joy to her . Although she suffered many hardships in her lifetime she never lost sight of the most important thing…FAMILY. She often talked about how fortunate she was to have seen and experienced so many great things in her lifetime. She lived through World War II, saw the first TV program, watched a man walk on the moon, and experienced the excitement of video games and computers, and the struggles of smart phone technology.
Peggy worked at Allegheny General Hospital for 20+ years and had many fond memories of her career there. Her kindness towards others became even more evident to her family during her hospitalization as many previous co-workers would share stories of their time spent with her. She will be truly missed by family and friends.
Funeral services at Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, Inc. will be held privately due to CDC regulations of occupancy, along with a private interment at Mount Royal Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please donate to Animal Friends in Pittsburgh, PA https://www.thinkingoutsidethecage.org/
