Age 99, of Glenshaw, on Monday, July 18, 2022. Lucy was the beloved wife of the late John T. Szelc; mother of Linda J. Briski (Regis) of Glenshaw; grandmother of Maria Briski (David Close) and Mark Briski (Kara Szoszorek); daughter of the late Franc "Frank" and Theresa Rose Mozina; sister of the late Frank Mozina, Virginia Zupancic, Alice Boyer, Mary Cvetic, and Eula Mozina; beloved aunt, great-aunt, and great-great aunt to numerous nieces and nephews; valued friend to many on Hamilton Avenue; and best pal to her cat "Kitty." Mrs. Szelc will be remembered for her independent spirit, working throughout her life as a beautician, owner of Lawrenceville grocery store John's Dairy with her husband, long-time Mellon Bank employee, and a friendly greeter and gardener at the Gibsonia Wal-Mart well into her 90's. Mrs. Szelc will also be fondly remembered as a high-energy "Jane of all trades," as comfortable tackling yard-work and giving driving lessons as she was preparing banquet-style holiday meals, baking tremendous amounts of holiday and wedding cookies, and sewing everything from wedding dresses to drapes. Lucy's generosity, hospitality, and zest for life will not soon be forgotten.

Friends and family will be received at Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, Inc. located at 2702 Mount Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA 15116, on Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be held the following day, Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11am in the funeral home chapel with Fr. Miro Stelmaszczyk from St. Mathew Parish, officiating.

Interment held privately at Mount Royal Cemetery, Glenshaw, PA.
