Louis (Buzz) D. Shearer, 94, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024. From Hampton Twp, Penn Hills, East Liberty, and he was born in Millvale, Pa. April 2,1929. He was the son of the late Samuel D. and Wanda (Mattern) Shearer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Audrey T. (Scheibe) Shearer and brother, Samuel R (Jeanne) Shearer.

Buzz was a beloved husband to his wife Audrey for 59 years. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great, great-grandfather who adored spending time with his family.

He had a career working at Bankers Lithography Company for over 45 years. He was a loyal 32degree Master Mason for over 60 years, and a Shriner, providing opportunities for fellowship, philanthropy, family and brotherhood. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling, mentoring as a baseball coach, and printing from his home workshop. He was a devoted member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Pittsburgh, Pa. from his birth until the church closed. Now a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving children, Audrey-Alice (the late Keith) Pipes, Debra (Allan) Link, Cheryl (the late Steve) Kutchko, Brenda (Gregg) Elser and Louis Jr. (Chris) Shearer; 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandson.

Family and friends will be received at Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA, on Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 1-5p.m. with Masonic funeral rites and funeral service immediately following at 5 p.m.

Interment will be held privately at Mount Royal Cemetery.
