John Joseph Logan, age 83, of Glenshaw, PA., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, in Pittsburgh, PA. with his family by his side. John was born on February 15, 1932, in Pittsburgh, PA., son of the late Thomas F. Logan and Nora Veronica (Murray) Logan.
Throughout his life, John worked in the insurance business for over 50 years. He was an avid motorcyclist, and served in the US Army, 101st Airborne during the Korean conflict.
Left to cherish John''s memory are; his wife of 9 years, Charlene A. (Kitzinger) Logan; his children, John R. Logan (Debra) of Harrisburg, PA. and Linda McPherson (Rick) of Butler, PA.; grandchildren, Jessica R. Logan, John R. Logan Jr., Brenna F. McPherson, Claire J. McPherson, and Grace A. McPherson; step-daughter, Erica Zamulevic; step-grandchildren, Riley Morgan and Sarah Gee; a great-granddaughter, Annabelle Gee; siblings, Mary Lynch, Margaret (Peggy) Kushner, Robert Logan, Daniel Logan, and Deborah Roe; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his first wife Margaret R. (Churak) Logan.
Friends will be received in the Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, Inc. 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd. Glenshaw, PA., on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 2-4p.m. and 6-8p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Bonaventure Parish in Glenshaw, PA. on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 10:00p.m.
