Obituary

John Regis "Jack" Dougherty, of Shaler Township, passed away on Saturday, January 21st.

Jack was born on August 17, 1939 to John and Blanch Dougherty of Aspinwall.

Jack is survived by his wife of 32 years, Carol and his little buddy, Niko the cat. He is also survived by his brother Barney (Joanne) Dougherty, and nieces Katie Burbick and Cristine Dougherty.

After graduating from Aspinwall High School, Jack went on to the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1961.

He went on to work for Bell Telephone and then spent the next 29 years working for PNC Bank.

Jack was an avid Ford antique car collector. He was a long-time member of the North Hills Historic Auto Club.  He was active in the Club up until his last few years due to health issues. He also enjoyed collecting model trains.

Jack will be deeply missed by all who experienced his companionship, friendship and sense of humor.

Funeral arrangements are private.
