Obituary

John A. Husak, 77, of Allison Park, formerly of Mount Troy and Tionesta, PA, died peacefully among family on Tuesday, September 1, 2020.  He was born November 3, 1942 in Pittsburgh, son of Alois and Ellen (Yeager) Husak, both of whom preceded him in death.

John graduated from Millvale High School and attended Westminster College.  He served in the U. S. Army as an MP and was stationed in the Central Highlands in Vietnam in 1965/66.  Upon returning from Vietnam, he joined the U. S. Postal Service where he was employed until his retirement in 1999.  His family and friends knew him as a generous and authentic soul, a consummate coin collector, and a lover of nature which he avidly explored from his second home in Tionesta on the Allegheny River.

John is survived by his brother Alan and wife Glen of Houston, Texas; niece Kirsten Klatka (Kyle) and grandnieces Ellery and Marley, and niece Maggie Husak (Faisal Aswat) and grandniece Zimora, all of Massachusetts.

Funeral arrangements will be by Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, Glenshaw, PA.  Interment at Mt. Royal Cemetery will be private.
