To the world she was one, but to her family, she was the world! It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Ann (née Wagner) Rosenblatt Vidt, 83, of Glenshaw, PA. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 10, 2018. Born in Millvale PA, she was preceded in death by her daughter Betsy A. Vidt, father Henry F. Wagner, mother Helen M. (Stocklin) Wagner, and siblings George W. Wagner, Joann Roth, and Audrey "Betty" Scheafnocker. Jean was the wife of 43 years to Allyn R. Vidt and ex-wife of Elmer "Buddy" Rosenblatt She will be greatly missed by children Elaine Vidt'Elliott. Allyn "Chuck (Karen) Vidt, and Dean Vidt. Grandchildren Michael (Ashley) Vidt, Daniel Vidt, Sheena Vidt, Robert (Nicole) Vidt'Elliott, Brad Monroe, Jennie Vidt Elliott, Emily (Stephen) Smiechowski, Alexis Monroe, Katelyn Vidt, Chaz Ulrich, Melissa Freker, Kailey Dunmire, and Rachel Dunmire. Great-grandchildren Reese, Khloe, Kasidy, Liam, Kallie, Caden, and Gage. Many extended family members and dear friends.
Jean was a graduate of Shaler High School's Class of 1952. In her lifetime, she was a telephone operator at Bell Telephone Company, talented baker, and caregiver to many. She loved reading, nature, and Native American culture. The family would also like to send a special thank you to Leeann, Monarch Hospice - Lori, Kim Tia, Julie, Lisa, Brittney, Jamie, and Pastor Hill. Care givers Colleen and Jennifer. Thank you all for all that did for us and most importantly for mom! You all have such caring hearts! In lieu of flowers, Jean would want people to take in nature, enjoy the sunshine upon their faces, and let the winds lead your spirit! Jean's life will be celebrated with a private memorial on June 2, 2018.
