Jean Louise Stoehr was reunited with her husband, David M. Mayer, on September 22, 2026. David was the center of her world! Jean was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. She was the daughter of the late George H. and Mary S. Stoehr.

Passionate about helping children to learn and grow, Jean dedicated her life to education. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a Masters in Education from Duquesne University. Jean enjoyed a fulfilling career as an incredible Gifted Education teacher at Fairview Elementary in the Fox Chapel Area School District. Her high expectations of her students were aimed at bringing out their best. Over the years, she touched the lives of countless students, families, and colleagues.

Outside of the classroom, Jean enjoyed sports that challenged her physically. She trained and competed in numerous triathlons, swimming being the component she loved the most. Jean is survived by many friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. Arrangements were handled by the Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd. Glenshaw, PA 15116. As per her wishes, services were private.
