Jean Eileen Scarazzo, age 90, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018. Jean was born on December 22, 1927, in Pittsburgh, PA, daughter of the late Louis Mertz Sr. and Hannah (Giger) Mertz.

Jean graduated from Perry High School. She was a dedicated member of The Order of The Eastern Star. Jean was a loving person, known for her smile and was always on the go. She enjoyed coffee and donuts. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Frederick R. Scarazzo; two sons-in-law, Thomas Vogel and Dennis Stankiewicz; four siblings, Louis Mertz, Jr., Arthur Mertz, Genevieve Gross, George Mertz and Carol Miller.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Sandra Vogel, Linda Stankiewicz and Carol Dugan (William); eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Donald Mertz.

Friends will be received in the Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, Pa. 15116 on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 4-8PM and again on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 10AM. A Funeral Service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel at 11AM.

Interment will be held at Mt. Royal Cemetery.
