James C. Yount, 74, of Indiana Township, passed away Saturday evening, December 28, 2024.

James was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and loyal friend who touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed.

Born on August 21, 1950, in Pittsburgh, James was the son of the late Walter and Evelyn (Miller) Yount. He was the beloved husband of Palma (Morris) Yount, with whom he shared 45 wonderful years of marriage. James was the proud father of Brian, Christopher (Nicole), and John, and a devoted grandfather to Roman and Madeline Yount. He was also a loving brother to Sheila Yount. He is preceded in death by his sister, Leonora (Tom).

James found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren, cheering for the Steelers, and fishing. He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 4–8 p.m. at the Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA 15116. A Blessing Service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Private interment to follow in Mt. Royal Cemetery.
