Gordon Entwistle, age 73 of Alison Park, PA., co-owner of Odyssey Travel, in Murrysville, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, June 15.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Victoria Abel; his daughter, Kristin Nolen and her husband Jeff; a granddaughter Madeline Nolen; a brother David Entwistle and wife Barbara Stecher and his beloved cats, Bogart and Bacall.

Gordon fought a long and courageous battle with Lewy Body Disease, losing neither his spirit nor his sense of humor.

Born in Englewood, NJ, and growing up in Pompton Plains, NJ, Gordon moved to Pittsburgh after graduating from Fairleigh Dickinson University, to work as an auditor at Main LaFrench (now KPMG). He later worked as vice president of sales for Jeanette Glass, before moving to a subsidiary, Brookpark, Plastics in Lake City, PA., as President. Gordon then went on to become President of Castle Rubber in Butler, PA. After retiring, Gordon went on to work at Odyssey Travel in Murrysville, PA., as a stellar corporate salesperson.

Gordon spent most summer weekends waterskiing on the Allegheny River near Oakmont and winter weekends at Seven Springs where he had skied since the early 60''s. When he was not skiing, Gordon loved to travel, visiting all but two continents.

Gordon''s family would like to extend a special thank you to Debbie, Joan, Nancy, and Maria at We Care Home Care and Lori, Jenny, and Kevin at Heartland Hospice. Without their help, Gordon would not have been able to stay at home.

Friends will be received at the Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, Inc. 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA., on Monday, June 23, 2014 from 2-8PM.

A celebration of Gordon''s life will be held at a later time at Seven Springs.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to either Animal Friends, (thinkingoutsidethecage.org) or the Lewy Body Foundation (www.lbda.org)
