George L. MacCosbe, 70, of Shaler Township, passed away on November 12, 2024 after a long courageous battle with cancer.  He was born September 22, 1954, son of Dorothy (Romer) and Emanuel MacCosbe   He graduated from Shaler High School in 1973 and went on to further his education getting degrees in Education, Electrical Engineering, and Business.  He had many interests and loved classic cars and motorcycles.  He was an accomplished drummer.

George is survived by sons Colin and Bryan of New Mexico, sisters Elaine Reppel (David) of Louisiana, Carol Gregory (John) of Maine, and many nieces and nephews, including special niece and nephew Christina and Jason Howell who were always nearby to help him whenever he needed them.  He had many friends who went above and beyond to bring joy into his life, especially during his last 6 ½ years fighting cancer.

He was predeceased by his parents, his sisters Diane Hrach (David) of Arizona and Alice Distefano (Jim) of Delaware, and his twin brother Paul MacCosbe (Laura) of North Carolina.

Inurnment will be at the Centre County Memorial Park in State College, PA in the spring.  In lieu of flowers and in memory of George, take a friend out to eat, donate to your local library, and visit the Bayernhof Museum.
