Ernest W. "Ernie" Strathen, age 90, of Etna, PA., passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2015. Ernie was born on January 27, 1925 in Etna, son of the late John Thomas Strathen and Frieda (Dorrier) Strathen.

In addition to his parents, Ernie was preceded in death by his wife Julia (Piller) Strathen; and three brothers, John, Melvin, and Frank Strathen.

Left to cherish his memory are many nieces and nephews, and all of his friends at Camp Ernie, in Rockland Station.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, Inc. 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd. Glenshaw, PA., where a visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from 2-8 PM.

Interment will be Privately held.
