Elizabeth Anna "Betty" Germer, age 88 of Shaler, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on January 15, 1929, daughter of the late Henry C. Lettermann and Anna Gerstacker.

Raised in Glenshaw, she was a 1947 graduate Shaler High School and, after raising her family in Madison NJ, had lived in Glenshaw again for the past 40 years. She was an active member of Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glenshaw.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Germer.

She is survived by; her children, Nancy Showe of Hagerstown, MD, Timothy Germer of Herndon, VA, and his wife, Jennifer, and Patricia Germer of Gibsonia, PA; and grandchildren, Christopher Showe and his wife, Sarah, Corey Showe, Timothy Germer, Jr., and Grace Germer.

Friends will be received at the Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, Inc. 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd. Glenshaw, PA., on Thursday, November, 16, 2017 from 5-8PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11:00AM. Interment will immediately follow in Mt. Royal Cemetery.
