Eleanor Wolcott Barton, Age 85, a life long proud Pittsburgh native passed away March 7 2026. Eleanor is survived by her beloved partner Jack Muenz. She was the loving mother of Robin Mattimore (husband Tom Mattimore) of San Francisco and Jeff Barton of Olney Maryland; Proud grandmother of Thomas Mattimore (wife Olivia), Billy Mattimore (wife Libby), Tess Mattimore(fiance Todd Jensen), Kate Mattimore, Annie Mattimore, Mia Barton, Mel Barton and AJ Barton ; and great-grandmother to Miles, Chase, Philip and Peter Mattimore. Wife of her late husband of 45 years Bill Barton. Daughter of the late Millie and Harold Wolcott of Bellevue. She is also survived by her life long friends from Bellevue High School, Gulfscope, Northmont, Highmark and The Villages. Her family is so grateful for the amazing care she received from Care One in Middletown NJ and Artis of Eatontown.
Eleanor was a woman of limitless kindness and an unwavering smile. Whether she was fulfilling her role as a devoted daughter, wife, mother, or doting grandmother, she did so with a heart for service. She was the definition of a true friend and a remarkably patient soul, always putting others before herself. Her legacy is one of joy, helpfulness, and a smile that will never be forgotten by those in her orbit.
Arrangements by Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home. Service will be held at Northmont Presbyterian Church (8169 Perry Hwy, Pittsburgh, PA 15237) on Thursday March 19th at 11 am. Luncheon following service at Wildwood Country Club 2195 Sample Rd, Allison Park, PA 15101.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund ( https://curealz.org/giving/donate/ ) all donations go directly to research, to cure this awful disease.
