Age 92, Dorothy M. Prodan (Fischer) of Wexford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 19, 2022. She was born in Aliquippa, Pa, the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Dutka. She was preceded in death by her husband Mike, a WW 2 Navy vet, a brother, Nick Dutka a WW 2 Submariner vet and a sister, Helen Ferenchak. She is survived by a sister, Irene Steranko.

Dorothy or "Dottie" as she was affectionately called is survived by her children Michael (Elaine), John (Maggi) and Nancy (Robert). She is also survived by four grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was a feisty, fun-loving person.  She enjoyed going out with family and friends and her trips to the casino. She was an accomplished baker and seamstress, creating wedding gowns and outfits for drum and majorette corps, including several for Churchill High School where her children attended.

Visitors will be received for a Russian Orthodox memorial service at ELOISE B. KYPER FUNERAL HOME, 2702 Mount Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA 15116 on Saturday, June 18, 2022 At 11:00 AM. A gathering for family and close friends will be held immediately afterward at Bellisario's Restaurant 1710 Duncan Ave, Allison Park PA 15101.

Dottie was mom to all, she'll be looking down and smiling at all of you. She might even give you a few of her takes on various subjects like baking, home repairs caring for animals and so, so many more. She was loved and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
