Dorothy Mae (Edwards) Edge, age 89, of Glenshaw, PA passed away on February 5, 2024; She was the beloved wife of 70 years, to James J Edge; Loving mother of Barbara A. (Kenneth) Kowalski, Sally A. (Charles) Hodgson and Keith J. (Deborah) Edge; Proud grandmother of Kevin M. Kowalski, Lauren M. (Herschel Shreve, Jr.) Kowalski, Hilary (Pastor Marvin E.) Nelson, Brittany (Daniel) McCall, Richard Bedillion, Whitney (Louie) Hayman and Brooke Trunzo; Great grandmother to MJ Nelson, Amelia Nelson, Liam Nelson, Evie McCall, Dalton Bedillion, Remington Bedillion, Hunter Campbell, Greg Campbell, and Giuliana Pihakis; Daughter of the late Ralph Edwards and Flora (Barnett) Edwards. Loving sister of the late Ralph William Edwards; She is also survived by cherished friends and neighbors.

Dorothy and her husband James, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on August 8, 2023, with their family. She was an avid sports fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Penguins and Steelers. Dorothy loved to knit and sew and used her talents to benefit countless charitable organizations.

She was a long time member and was actively involved in the Episcopal Church of the Pittsburgh Diocese. Dorothy was a two time breast cancer survivor and actively participated in the Susan B Komen walk/run charity events. She loved animals of all kinds but was especially fond of beagles. Because of her concerns for others, she supported many charitable organizations.

Friends and Family are invited to a Memorial Service on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at ELOISE B.  KYPER FUNERAL HOME at 2707 Mt. Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, PA 15116 at 10:00 AM. Private Entombment to follow at Allegheny County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Seeing Eye (donate.guidingeyes.org).
