Deane Carr Ray, 84, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021, with the love of his family surrounding him.

Deane was born in Cleveland, OH, on Friday, October 8, 1937, to the late John Ray II and Thelma (Schilling) Ray. He was survived by his brother, John (Mary) Ray III and sister, Carole Piriano.

Deane proudly served in the United States Navy. While serving, he met his wife, of 64 years, Nancy Lynne (Edge) Ray, in Charleston, SC.

During their journey they moved to Glenshaw, PA, where Deane worked at Pennzoil for 38 years prior to his retirement.

Deane and Nancy proceeded on to have 8 children, Suzanne (Timothy) Lutz, Stephen (Sheila) Ray, Deane (Linda) Ray, Tammy (Tim) Marks, Todd (Cindi) Ray, Mark (Zena) Ray, Rebecca (James) Harding, and Scott Ray; also 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.

Friends and family will be received in the Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA, on Monday, December 6, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

A Blessing Service will be held, Tuesday, December 7, at 10 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow in Mt. Royal Cemetery, Glenshaw, PA. Where Military Honors will be accorded.
