Obituary

Annino Vezio, 82, of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, formerly of Shaler Township, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, October 19, 2026.

Born on August 14, 1944, in Baiano, Italy, he was the beloved son of Francesco and Felicia Bianco-Vezio.

Throughout his life, Annino was known for his kindness, wonderful sense of humor, love of life, strong work ethic, and unwavering devotion to his family. In his early years, he learned the art of carpentry in Italy, a skill he took great pride in throughout his life. After coming to America, he continued his craft as a union carpenter, working for more than 50 years at Harmon Lumber and Hall Lumber. He took immense pride in the precision, attention to detail, and exceptional craftsmanship that defined his work. His finished projects were a testament to his remarkable skill and artistry.

Outside of his career, Annino found joy in life's simple pleasures and, above all, in the people he loved. Annino cherished tending to his garden, traveling to Italy and Florida with his beloved wife, Licia, his sister, Francesca, and her husband, Gerardo, and spending quality time with family and friends. He enjoyed walking along the track with his brother-in-law, Gerardo Acierno, with whom he shared a very special bond. He played bocce for many years in the Morningside Bocce League, where his team won several league championships. Always the life of the party, Annino was known for his love of singing and dancing, especially doing the Twist.

A passionate supporter of SSC Napoli, he loved watching his favorite soccer team compete in Italy's Serie A. He also enjoyed Neapolitan music and singing and especially loved sharing stories of his childhood in Italy and his journey to Pittsburgh, where he met the love of his life, Licia D'Achille. Together, they shared 59 years of marriage, building a life filled with love, family, and treasured memories.

He was a devoted father who never missed an opportunity to cheer on his sons at their sporting events. That same enthusiasm continued as he watched his grandsons compete. He was immensely proud of all his grandchildren and loved each of them dearly.

Above all, Annino will be remembered for his big heart, infectious laughter, compassion, and the genuine joy he brought to those around him. He had a special gift for making people feel welcome and loved, turning ordinary moments into lasting memories. His family was the center of his world, and he adored his children and grandchildren. His presence, stories, and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Annino is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Licia D'Achille-Vezio; his loving daughter, Felicia Anna DeVincentis; his sons, Francesco (Lea) and Stefano (April); and his cherished grandchildren, Roman, Avianna Viox (Tanner), Luciano, Dante, Dea, Lorenzo, Stefano L., Santino, and Giovanni.

He is also survived by his brother, Beniamino Vezio, of Baiano, Italy; his sister, Francesca Acierno (Gerardo); and many nieces, nephews, extended family members in Italy and the United States, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Annino's legacy of hard work, kindness, laughter, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of his family and all those fortunate enough to have known him.

Family and Friends will be received on Monday, October 26, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home Inc. 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, PA 15116.
