Aleida Ann Jackson, 75, of Union City, PA, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023, after enduring a battle with cancer. She was born on April 15, 1948, in Harrisburg, PA, the daughter of the late Edison and Violet (Foesel) Bowers.

Aleida is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, John C. Jackson; Daughters, Loree (Brian) Lutz, and Wendi (Christopher) Leas; her five granddaughters, Ashleigh Lutz, Allyson Lutz, Reagan Leas, Alexa Lutz, and Riley Leas; as well as her brother Alan (Demi) Bowers.

Aleida earned her Bachelor of Science in Education, Home Economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1970, where she met her lifelong friend, Susan (Dorner) Dreier. She went on to receive her Masters in Counseling from Shippensburg University. She was a beloved and dedicated teacher for Shaler Area schools for over 30 years. Aleida attended Union City Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and anything that involved her granddaughters. Aleida was extremely devoted to her family and has left a legacy of love and joy.  The memories that Aleida shared with her family and friends will last for eternity and be cherished forever. On one of the happiest days of her life, Aleida and John recently celebrated their 50 years of marriage surrounded by friends and family.

We welcome friends and family at Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA, on Friday, August 18, 2023, from 11-1 pm. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 1 pm, held in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be held privately at Mt Royal Cemetery.
